Students learned about Radial Symmetry and Reflections by creating Symmetry Designs on Paper and their very own Kaleidescopes!

Technology in the Art Room

Middle School students are using their computers to make art! They are exploring digital drawing and painting, photo manipulation and animation. They learn to use online editing software like Sumo Paint and Pixlr and Imovie to create animations. 

Middle school students learned how images are made on a computer using pixels. They looked at ancient mosaics to understand how mosaic art is similar to pixel images. They drew pixelated drawing then created  their own mosaics  using  colored clay tiles.

Students in Grade 7 and 8 are working with acrylics to create some expressive paintings and self portraits.

Students in Grades K and 1 celebrated winter even though we did not have much snow in December by making Snow people. 

The cute paper snow people decorated the school hallways for 

the Winter Concert and make staff and students  smile every day!
